Re: Gennesaret Healing Centre

Dear Reverent, Pastor and Congregation.

We hereby want to introduce Gennesaret Healing Centre to you. We are a voluntary non profit, Faith based organisation involved in the uplifting and helping of the lost, the least and the last in the community.

The organisation works in the Gauteng Province. We offer accommodation, counselling and food to mainly white people that have lost their job or homes and are outcast on the streets. We work through volunteers that love God and want to offer their expertise and time to the centre.

We are a new organisation that was established the 1 March 2010, after a vision receives in 2008. We are in the process to register as a Sec. 21 Company.

Please find attached more info about the project. We also want to know if it is possible to allow us a time slot in your church to introduce the centre to the congregation.

In Him

Johan Lourens.

What is Gennesaret Healing Centre:

It is an "Uplifting project with the potential to change the lives of poor people in this country." Based on the concept of getting community based organisation and volunteers to take responsibility for the poor people in their community by helping them to gain their self worth and human dignity back again and uplift them.

Our Aim:

  1.  To see the circumstance and lives of people been change.
  2.  To see that the project take off in every town in South Africa where there is a great need.
  3.  To mobilise and train volunteers, in a practical way to become involved in the day-to-day activities of the poor people on our property.
  4.  To developed strategies and programmes to train the people to become self-sufficient again.
  5.  To disciple them and learn them to have a personal relationship with their Savoir and Lord Jesus Christ.
  6.  To elimate the stigma of "Poor" that cling on to these people.

How are we going to do this:

  1.  To buy/rent a small holding on the outskirts of Pretoria or Brits.
  2.  To accommodate these people in Wendy Homes on the property.
  3.  To teach them various skills and start new business for them.
  4.  To start a solar panel manufacturing plant on the property to give them an income and to generate funds for the ministry.
  5.  To developed strategies to uplift these people.
  6.  To have a 24/7 counselling and trauma team available.
  7.  To disciple them through church leaders and teacher to have a personal relationship with God
  8.  To marry those who are living together and to start living in a Holy Covenant with each other and God.
  9.  To get support from churches and business men on a monthly base in the form of debit orders to sustain the project.
  10.  To be open to the Holy Spirit for His guidance in the project.

History:

Founders: Pastor Johan & Esther Lourens.

Vision received in January 2008. Confirmed on 19 March 2008.

God is busy with me for  more than two years now, giving me  a vision to start a healing ministry center and church for Him. In these two years I have been through training in various ministries and projects and God is preparing me for this great vision. People would say that I am two years already on the vision, why don't things happen? I want to share the following in Isaia28:16, according to the vision; "Therefore so says the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I place in Zion a Stone for a foundation, a tried Stone, a precious Cornerstone, a sure Foundation; he who believes shall not hurry."

In God's perfect timing all shall fall into place like the pieces of a puzzle.

The land of Gennesaret - This country lay on the coast of the Sea of Galilee: Josephus describes it as being exceedingly pleasant and fertile. It had its name of Gennesaret from, gen, a garden, and sar, a prince, either because the king had a garden there, or because of its great fertility. Mat 14:34 - The land of Gennesaret - It was from this country that the sea or lake of Gennesaret had its name. In this district, on the western side of the lake, were the cities of Capernaum and Tiberias. Whithersoever Christ went, he was doing well. They brought unto him all that were diseased. They came humbly beseeching him to help them. The experiences of others may direct and encourage us in seeking for Christ. As many as touched, were made perfectly whole. Those whom Christ heals, he heals perfectly. Were men more acquainted with Christ, and with the diseased state of their souls, they would flock to receive his healing influences. The healing virtue was not in the finger, but in their faith; or rather, it was in Christ, whom their faith took hold upon.

Mat 14:34-36 On return, they beached the boat at Gennesaret. When the people got wind that he was back, they sent out word through the neighborhood and founded up all the sick, which asked for permission to touch the edge of his coat. And whoever touched him was healed.

Mar 6:53-56 They beached the boat at Gennesaret and tied up at the landing.

As soon as they got out of the boat, word got around fast. People ran this way and that, bringing their sick on stretchers to where they heard he was. Wherever he went, village or town or country crossroads, they brought their sick to the marketplace and begged him to let them touch the edge of his coat--that's all. And whoever touched him became well.

Mar 6:45-56 - The church is often like a ship at sea, tossed with tempests, and not comforted: we may have Christ for us, yet wind and tide against us; but it is a comfort to Christ's disciples in a storm, that their Master is in the heavenly mount, interceding for them. And no difficulties can hinder Christ's appearance for his people, when the set time is come. He silenced their fears, by making himself known to them. Our fears are soon satisfied, if our mistakes are set right, especially our mistakes as to Christ. Let the disciples have their Master with them, and all is well. It is for want of rightly understanding Christ's former works, that we view his present works as if there never were the like before. If Christ's ministers now could cure people's bodily diseases, what multitudes would flock after them! It is sad to think how much most care about their bodies than about their souls.

Luk 5:1-4 Once when he was standing on the shore of Lake Gennesaret, the crowd was pushing in on him to better hear the Word of God. He noticed two boats tied up. The fishermen had just left them and were out scrubbing their nets. He climbed into the boat that was Simon's and asked him to put out a little from the shore. Sitting there, using the boat for a pulpit, he taught the crowd. When he finished teaching, he said to Simon, "Push out into deep water and let your nets out for a catch."

Luk 5:1-11 - When Christ had done preaching, he told Peter to apply to the business of his calling. Time spent on week days in public exercises of religion, need be but little hindrance in time, and may be great furtherance to us in temper of mind, as to our worldly business. With what cheerfulness may we go about the duties of our calling, when we have been with God, and thus have our worldly employments sanctified to us by the word and prayer! Though they had taken nothing, yet Christ told them to let down their nets again. We must not abruptly quit our callings because we have not the success in them we desire. We are likely to speed well, when we follow the guidance of Christ's word. The draught of fishes was by a miracle. We must all, like Peter, own ourselves to be sinful men, therefore Jesus Christ might justly depart from us. But we must beseech him that he would not depart; for woe unto us if the Savior depart from sinners! Rather let us entreat him to come and dwell in our hearts by faith, that he may transform and cleanse them. These fishermen forsook all, and followed Jesus, when their calling prospered. When riches increase, and we are tempted to set our hearts upon them, then to quit them for Christ is thankworthy.

God speak with me from 2008 to start a ministry center where people can come to be healed, feed and clothe. HE also says that poor people will come and live on the property for free, that Gennesaret Ministry will supply them with Wendy houses to live in.  On the property will also be a church, but a church with a difference for this church will serve the lost, the least and the last. I shall be in charge of the church and marry those that other churches don't want to marry.

Nearly two years past already since this vision and I carry it with me alone, but know the time is ripe now to share it with others. God first have prepared me for this great vision to train and teach me how to run and administrate big organizations and that is why He has placed me at Petra College and Scripture Union to train me.

In Him
